What this site is
gerrymorton.com is the personal website of Gerry T. Morton. I use it to share my work with boards and nominating committees, with TIGER 21 Members and people considering membership, and with anyone weighing a speaking or advisory engagement. There is no account to create, nothing to buy, and no comments section.
What I collect
When you use the contact form, I receive what you type: your name, email address, company (optional), and message. Submissions are emailed to me and kept on this site’s server so I can find them again.
Like almost every website, the hosting provider keeps standard server logs — the pages requested, the time, your browser type, and your IP address — for security and troubleshooting.
How I use it
To reply to you, and for nothing else. I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information, and writing to me doesn’t put you on a mailing list. I keep messages for as long as our conversation is useful and will delete yours on request.
Analytics and third-party services
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people read. It sets cookies and sends usage data to Google. The site is hosted by GoDaddy, which may collect anonymized traffic data. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google’s servers. Videos on the Speaking & Media page are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, which means YouTube sets no cookies until you press play.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. None of them receives your contact-form message.
Cookies
Beyond the Google Analytics cookies described above, this site sets no cookies of its own for visitors. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
Your choices
You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; I extend them to everyone. The simplest way to ask is through the contact form.
Changes
If I change how this site handles information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
