Gerry Morton

Speaking & Media

On stage, on record.

Conversations about building consumer brands, running honest rooms, and treating performance as a system rather than a mood.
Publication

The Energy Guidebook

Fifth edition, revised and expanded for 2026. This book has taught a short list of essentials since 2004. The new edition states the test each one had to pass, which is a large effect, on outcomes that matter, from something you control, and applies it without exception. Two of the six failed, including the category the author’s own company sells. What remains is five: nutrition, movement, sleep, recovery and connection. Every substantive claim is cited; 392 pages, hardcover and Kindle.

Speaking topics

What I talk about

Building in the health and nutrition space

What it actually takes to launch a consumer brand in a crowded category, from formulation and clean-label sourcing to winning shelf space at national retail.

Facilitating rooms of wealth creators

How confidential peer groups produce better decisions than advisors alone, and how to run a room where nobody performs.

Peak performance as an operating system

The overlap between scaling a company and training for an Ironman: repeatable inputs, honest measurement, and a long horizon.

Turnarounds and stewardship

Lessons from taking a legacy nonprofit from years of losses to debt-free, and what governance looks like when the mission outlives you.
Keynotes & executive programs

The Energy Guidebook, live

Keynote

Up to 60 minutes, Q&A included · $12,500

One fee whether the slot is twenty minutes or sixty. Three signature talks: The Test Each One Had to Pass, Six Hours a Night, and The Fuel Gauge Is Not Fuel. The room leaves with the four-part test, the five essentials, and a first action small enough to start on Monday. Keynote plus a same-day working session, $16,000.

Working session

60–90 minutes · $6,500

A breakout that turns the argument into a personal scorecard: Sleep and Recovery, the two essentials nobody schedules, or Nutrition and Movement, the two that carry most of the result. Live coaching, one five-minute tool done in the room, one dated commitment.

The Energy Audit

Half-day executive workshop, up to 30 · $15,000

Pre-work two weeks out. Each participant scores a personal inventory against the five essentials, redesigns a real week, and leaves with a ninety-day plan dated in ink, a bad-week rule and a named witness. Built for offsites, leadership cohorts and boards.

The Ninety Days

Full-day masterclass, up to 40 · $24,000

08:30 to 16:15. Four modules across the five essentials, the full program individually dated, the organizational version for the buyer, and a signed copy of the book on every seat. Includes a virtual check-in with the cohort at day 30.

Follow-through

Three live virtual sessions · $7,500

The book’s argument is that ninety days is where change happens, not the day of the event. Sessions at days 14, 45 and 90: scorecards re-run, plateaus troubleshot, accountability pairs kept honest. An add-on to either program.

Also available

Virtual keynote, $6,500 · Peer-network rate, $5,000

Any of the three talks, live, for remote audiences. A keynote or working session at the peer-network rate for YPO, EO, TIGER 21, Vistage and similar forums. Every fee includes a planning call, customization, the slides and worksheets, a one-page summary for attendees, and recording rights for internal use. Nothing is sold from the stage.
